We would love to welcome you to our Sunday morning service. There is no dress code, and you are welcome whether you are new to faith, exploring faith or experienced in faith.
Our services are normally led by our Minister and run for about an hour. We start with a time of family worship which includes singing and prayer for all ages. The children stay with us and can choose to do one of the activities related to the service theme, or make use of the toddler toys provided. The service continues with a reading from the Bible and a talk about it. We normally close with an opportunity for people to respond to the message if they wish and a time of sung worship.
If you would like someone to pray with you there is normally an opportunity at the end of the service. Once a month we have a visiting speaker or hear about a particular group or event that we are supporting together as a church.
Hot/cold drinks and biscuits are served after all our Sunday services.
We celebrate communion during the morning service on the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month. Communion helps us to remember the significance of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The way we celebrate communion at WGBC varies in style. Small pieces of gluten free bread and a small cup of non-alcoholic red juice are either served along the rows or are available for you to collect from a table in your own time. Anyone who loves God and is committed to following Jesus is welcome to take part in the celebration of Communion.
There is a crèche room for babies and their carer’s but you are welcome to stay in the service if you prefer. Toys are available in the creche room for your little ones to play and there is comfortable seating if you prefer to feed baby in private whilst you listen to the service.
